New Jersey Governor makes hard budget decision

In an effort to save the state of New Jersey $1.5 million and put an ever-so-slight dent in the $5 billion budget deficit, Governor Jon Corzine announced that Medicaid coverage for Viagra, Cialis and similar impotence medications would be discontinued beginning in the next fiscal year (to start July 1, 2006).

Sorry men, no more stiffies on the public tit.

Comments:
Yes, things are, um, hard all over.

Except when they aren't.

The question is, why did they pay for it in the first place?! It ain't exactly digitalis on the formulary scale; I hope someone does a study on the relationship between Medicaid recipients of ED drugs and the birth rate of those on public assistance.
